Here's my take on this. I researched this a lot on this site, and I highly recommend doing a search on this. From what everyone posted that I could find, the Supersprint X pipe at best will get you 5 HP at the rear wheels. This is realistically not a power adding mod, because the gains people were seeing were negligle and probably just due to the dyno variances between pre and post install. Why don't people see gains? In my opinion, the reason is the stock exhaust already has an H pipe installed in it. The H might not be as good as the X, but it's pretty close. Also, installing the SS X pipe removes the resonators. These are a flow restriction and also add 35 pounds. So, my solution to save money was to simply remove the resonators. This is pretty cheap, as you only need about 8 feet of 2.5" diameter stainless tubing and 4 stainless clamps. You can weld the tubing in place, but it is not required as the clamps do a fine job. I believe you get the slight power gains by removing the resonator and you get the throaty sound of the V-8.
This might be a better solution for you as its cheap and very easy to do.
