svoleiðis er þetta að ég best veit.
Higher the # the "lower" the gear is.
A 2.73 gear is a high gear, and 4.10 is a low gear.
You want lower gear ratio for acceleration
Best street use with good acceleration gears are between 3.42 and 3.73
The lower the gear (high #) the more RPMs you will turn for the same speed.
The higher the gear (lower #) the less RPMs you will turn for the same speed.
Again low gears, 3.42, 3.73, 3.89, 4.10 gears pulls (has better acceleration) than 2.42, 2.73, 3.08, 3.23 gears
You do loose some top end speed with low gears because the RPM goes up higher.
3.23 with 26" tall rear tires and a 1:1 trans gear will put you at 2300 rpm @ 55 mph, 3800 rpm @ 90 mph, 5000 rpm @ 120 mph
Same tire and trans gear with 3.73 rear gears would put you at 2700 @ 55 mph, 4300 rpm @ 90 mph, 5000 rpm @ 105 mph
