contrary to popular belief, this doesn't work exactly well on all LMs unless you do some machining. The top mounted LMs have an upper flange that is rounded rather than squared.

So if you reverse mount it, the rounded part makes contact with the barrel first rather than the flat mounting surface. So you could do it, but it leaves a very minimal gap between the face and the mounting flange of the barrel- resulting in all the stress being exerted only on a single point rather than plane.

Þessi gæi hefur greinilega aldrei tekið burðarþolsfræði. Þetta hefur engin áhrif.
