USE OF TRIP METER TEST FUNCTION
To select the coolant temperature display you need to unlock the odometer test functions and then select it - if locked you can only see tests 1 & 2.

1. Hold down the trip reset button and turn the ignition to position I or II.
2. Release the button and press it steadily and repeatedly until you get to test 19.
3. Press and hold the button for about half a second to select test 19.
4. Wait till the display shows "L-Off" and press briefly (1/4 sec).
5. Display should now show test 0.
6. Cycle through to test 7 and press briefly (1/4 sec) to select.

Test 7.0 (which is now selected) is the coolant temp. You can now start the engine.

Everything will cancel (including the unlocking) when you turn the ignition off. If the display returns to the mileage display before you are done, you must turn the ignition off and re-enter test mode. If the display briefly shows a test number (from 3-21) then returns to mileage display, the extended tests have not been unlocked.

Other useful displays are 7.2, the rev counter and 7.3, the speedo (in km/h).

Instructions to access the hidden functions:
1. Hold Trip Reset while turning ignition key to on position
2. LCD should show "Test"
3. Use Trip Reset to select function 19.0 that unlocks all the features
3. Wait for display to show "Off"
4. Depress Trip Reset for 1/4 second and release it
5. With no delay press Trip Reset several times to select one of the following function s
