Stýrisvökvinn minn lætur sig hægt og rolega hverfa, ætti eg að reyna að laga þetta eða bara skipta um maskínuna, hvað gæti verið vesenið?? Er a e36 318i 94

Hef ekki gert það sjálfur, en skilst að það sé ekkert meira en dund aðgerð.

1. Remove tie rod boots, remove inner tie rods from rack (thin 32mm wrench required)
2. Remove plastic cover on the steering spindle and remove the circlip
3. Remove the 22mm nut on the bottom of the steering tower, and remove the inner 13mm cadmium plated locknut
4. Tap out the pinion gear from the bottom. At this point, steering fluid will pour out so make sure you have a catch can handy.
5. Remove the rightmost air crossover fitting from the rack (this is the one attached to the plastic hose).
6. Pry out the large metal ring from the rack through the plastic fitting's hole. Be careful not to mar the hole, otherwise the air crossover fitting may leak.
7. Remove the moving seal from the end of the rack. Again, ATF will leak so have a catch can handy.
8. You can now pull out the rack. Inspect it for corrosion, and if there is, buff it out with very fine grade sandpaper (400 grit) in a circumferential pattern
9. There are two important seals here that should be fairly straightforward to see. You should use a wooden dowel to remove the seals (drive out the seals with a hammer with light taps)
10. Remove the bottom bearing in the steering tower. You will now have access to the pinion ring seal. Drive this seal out and reinstall the new seal, making sure to lube the new seal with ATF.
11. Replace the four o-rings and 4 sealing rings on the pinion gear. Lube with ATF.
12. Clean the rack and regrease the rack. Reinstall the rack, slide the moving seal onto the rack, noting direction, then replace the end retaining ring.
13. Reassembly is pretty much the reverse of disassembly.

This job takes right around 2-3 hours, max, for a first-timer.

myndi reyna ða sjá bara hvar lekinn kemur... hélt lengi vel að maskínan væri að leka hjá mér... svo drullaðist ég til að skoða þetta bara þá var bara tærður einn þéttihringur undir tengi.... það þarf ekki meira ;)

myndi nú byrja á því að athuga með stýrisdæluna og háþrýstislöngurnar til og frá dæluni áður en ég færi að spá í maskínuni
