The most important thing here is you MUST have a heat shield ,as the
radiator fan is directly in line with the filter and will blow hot air all
over it if no heat shield is fitted , LOSING power. The ECIS system is good
and represents the best value in terms of cost; the Active CAIS is a little
better as it has a greater level of heatshielding built in , and comes with
an attractive grille plate on top (also available in Carbon at extra cost );
the Gruppe M system looks great too by virtue of it's carbon/kevlar
costruction but is comparatively expensive .
All three systems produce very similar power and torque gains , so the
choice is really one of personal preference .
