"One of the most spectacular crashes ever witnessed at Brands Hatch saw three fire marshalls - and driver Francisco Carvalho - escape with their lives intact.
Francisco Carvalho's car is sent high into the air by a Brands Hatch crash barrier.
In the second Seat Leon Eurocup race at the Kent circuit, Carvalho's car was clipped by a fellow driver coming through a corner - causing him to veer off towards the manned barriers on the right.
After hitting the wall head-on, Carvalho's vehicle went end over end as many as four times - flipping up into the air and over the crash barrier.
Replays showed fire marshalls and spectators running for cover as the car careered into the air - one, in particular, escaping what could have been a serious, or even life-threatening, injury when the flying car created a huge divot on the patch of grass where he was standing.
As the marshall runs you can even see his foot slip on the turf as Carvalho's Seat car dislodges the topsoil right next to him.
Unbelieveably, no-one suffered any serious injuries - with Carvalho himself taken to the medical area at the circuit, suffering from mild shock and a few bumps and bruises. "

Brautarstarfsmennirnir voru verulega heppnir!! Það virðist vera e-ð með Brands Hatch og WTCC helgar...
Tilfellið er samt að búnaður í bílnum veldur því að það er mjög erfitt að grípa afturendann þegar hann losnar, það er tölvustýrð kúppling í þeim sem fer í anti-stall mode þegar munur á fram og aftur hjólhraða verður of mikill. Það eru líkur á því að þetta hefði farið betur með hefðbundna kúpplingu.
