Just remember to orientate the adjusment bolts in the same direction to get the thrust angle right , people have been failing on that

Small update. . .

Got access to this today.....
Image

.... and managed to get on with some welding with a lil help.....

Subframe repaired and reinforced:

Had to cut the bottom reinforcements to access the back

Then new plates welded in...

The top had to be filled in....

and then smoothed...

Finally the uter ones were welded back on ...

Then we did the ARB mount holes:

I mounted the reinforcements and secured them with a 10mm bolt:

Then welded all around and smoothed the welds (should look much better after paint):

The otherside was much worse as i had to remove some of the rusted area:

I am debating if i should leave it as it is or close it. As far as I know this holes only act as drains so it may be better to have them slightly larger.

What do you guys think?

Should be getting blasted again tomorrow and then painted.:-)

Some small progress.....

Steering rack was taken completely apart .....

and parts painted and cleaned....

New seals replaced.....
Image

And started putting it back....

I am still trying to find new bearings for it but seems like even the dealer can not find them.
The bearings are the ones circled in the below pic (altough the one I really want to replace is No.57
Image

Worst case scenario I will reuse the old ones but if you guys know a part number or where to get new ones please let me know!
