Ég hef mikið notað þetta þar sem hraðinn er mjög mikill auk þess að efni er mjög fljótt að dreifast um þetta net. Þetta fór reyndar í smá lægð núna fyrir stuttu þegar stærsta dreifisíða torrenta var lögð niður. |

BitTorrent er snilldar protocol, sem byggir á lygilega einfaldri athugasemd: Einstaklingar vilja frekar vinna með aðilum sem vinna líka með þeim (endurgjalda greiðann). Í ljósi BitTorrent þýðir þetta að þeim mun meira/hraðar sem þú sendir frá þér (upload), þeim mun meira getur þú fengið til þín (download). Bram Cohen setti saman yfirlitspappír um BitTorrent, stutt og auðlesið: http://bittorrent.com/bittorrentecon.pdf Hvað varðar lægð í notkun BitTorrent - það er nóg eftir af síðum sem vísa á BitTorrent trackera (með ólöglegu efni)  Einföld leit að "bittorrent search" á google ætti að vera nóg til að sannfæra menn um það!

Það er vissulega nóg eftir að drreifisíðum fyrir torrenta en suprnova var stærsta og útbreyttasta síðan svo lok hennar leiðir augljóslega til töluverðrar rýrnunar. Ég hef sjálfur dregið saman notkun mína á torrentum undanfarið og fært mig yfir í aðra miðla en þetta er samt ennþá mikið notað. |
