Finnar Tölur hérna!One of our main activities is to build, rebuild, develop and prepare race-engines.
Many years of experience allow us to prepare race-engines starting from an original engine even when there isn't one race-part to buy for that type of engine, because we engineer everything self and manufacture new race-parts or adapt other race-parts to that engine.
Above the classic mechanical job, we make also the wire looms and program the electronics in house. I think this is very important that the same company who made the engine, put their engine on the ENGINEDYNO and program that same engine. Building it from A to Z in house gives the best results. Everything that has to be done outside is dangerous.
Our biggest interest is power, torque and reliability. Our engines have won a lot of championships even on European level. We adapt the characteristic of an engine on the kind of race it is build fore. A rally or rally cross engine has not the same characteristic as a full race-engine.
To give some examples of reliability, we have made a KEMPOWER BMW S14 2.0L, this was a converted 2.3 Gr A engine and for that time in the early 90's had already 272 hp. This engine did FOUR times the 24 hours of Francorchamps without opening the engine and without any problem revving at 8800 rpm. A second example is a KEMPOWER build Honda VTI 1600 full gr N engine, that made 50.000 km of rallying without any problem and revving the whole time above 9000 rpm won 6 times the Belgian Championship, even won the 1600 grN in Monte Carlo etc..., before we had to overhaul it. Our biggest problem is to convince the customer that for security reasons they have to let us overhaul their engine after a periodic time, because they are, after different years, so convinced of the reliability of our engines, that they ask us why it is necessary.
One of the reasons of our success is, that it takes us minimum two days on measuring and inspecting every part, before we assemble an engine.
A very helpful instrument is our ENGINEDYNO SUPER FLOW SF7400 1000hp/12.000 rpm, that allow us to test and map every engine in the best possible conditions.
Our specialty is BMW engines, own versions and BMW motorsport versions. We have a very good contact with BMW Motorsport and appreciate the perfect service of that department.
