BP eru að kynna nýtt eldsneyt 102 octana guaranteed eldsneyti.. en gallin er að það kostar rúmar 1500kr ísk fyrir hvert UK gallon.. sem gerir um 330kr á hvern litra :O

Það myndi kosta mig næstum því 20.000kr að fylla á 60l tankin hjá mér! svakalegt...

En ef maður á efni á einhverjum supercar þá er manni eflaust slétt sama hvað það kostar að fylla á hann til að ná meiri power úr kvikindinu..

The high-octane fuel typically boosts power output on modern performance cars by between 4 and 7.5 percent over BP's standard Ultimate 97, provided your ride is willing and able to remap its ignition and/or increase turbo boost.)

On a high performance, turbo charged vehicle, with boost pressure increased, the power benefits seen included an increase in maximum power of 37 bhp (8.6%), and as much as 60 bhp (16%) at some points in the engine speed range.

Ætli séu margar vélar með búnað sem stillir kveikjuna í samræmi við
oktantölu, er þetta kannski í flestum bílum í dag?

svona búnaður er í flestum bílum í dag en vélin verður að vera þokkalega háþrýst til að þetta skili einhverju

m-vélarnar frá bmw eru hrifnar af háu octani, sérstaklega s50, s54 og uppúr
